My First Week...

Howdy folks! Finn here and I just wanted to let you know what is going on with me. I was rescued by a nice lady that couldn't keep me, so she found a rescue group called "Forgotten Friends-Mixed Breed Rescue" and they agreed to take me in. I went up to the ranch, but I can tell you this...it was not my gig. I needed some structure, so a wonderful volunteer decided she would give me a try at her place. Now it has been pretty darn good here. I like the quiet time that I get in my foster home. It's been said that I'm insecure (wouldn't you be if you didn't know where you belong?) and need to gain confidence in the outside world. We will be working on that. I've done very well in my new foster home. I'll keep you posted...gotta go...there's a bone just dying to be chewed.

Some important facts about me:

I seem to be house trained...no accidents in the house, yeah!

I walk well on the leash

I do need time to warm up, but become affectionate when comfortable

In a previous home, i did fine with cats

I love my daily walks

I've managed well even when foster Mom is gone for long periods of time

Fully vaccinated

Neutered

Heartworm Preventive

Flea & Tick Preventive - Frontline Plus

Learning my house manners in foster care

I like being an only dog & geting ALL the attention :)

Very sweet, once I'm comfortable

Here are a few things that I need to work on:

I don't get along with all dogs, some I like, some I don't

I will give a small growl when uncomfortable with some things, for example: being picked up by a stranger

I can be insecure in certain situations

My foster Mom is building my confidence by exposing me to other environments

The best match for Finn will include:

A quiet house

An only dog (unless I meet a doggy friend I get along with well)

Someone to continue building my confidence

Me & my family participating in a dog training class

Lots of LOVE
